If you do load that bullet be really careful. My friend and I did it with a 30.06. We shot a steel plate at around 50 to 75 yards and the outer copper jacket came back at us hard enough to hurt when it hit you. Even hit hard enough to break a window on my cousins house as we were on his back porch.

I would almost think that caliber could push the bullet so fast it would melt Lol. I agree, it might not be long enough for that cal. What is the barrel twist rate? It might not stabilize.
